Willie Dixon - I Am The Blues

Willie Dixon is the man who changed the style of the blues. As a songwriter and producer, the man was a genius. If you wanted a hit song, you went to Willie Dixon. Played it like he said play it, and sing it like he said sing it, and you damn near always had a hit. Willie Dixon taught bass players how to rock n roll. Listen to him on Chuck Berrys Chess recordings of Rock and Roll Music, and Reelin and Rockin. He took big band music and Mississippi blues and melded them into something new, opening the door for Motown and others to walk in and take it even further. by: JazzBluesLive

Cocaine blues is an trad. old song which talks about colors, images, loss, love, people. Great guitarrist, play an acoustic with fingers like no one else. With the song below you can hear and feel sorry for the today´s hipsters who think they are engaged with technology and rock ´n roll and at the same time with old school 20 years circle blues.

The Allman Brothers Band - Desdemona

Rain falls upon a sleepy southern town The midnight moon burning brightly Memories rush in like a river forlorn As you lay sleeping without me Highway song keeps me rolling on Still I long for you Desdemona, I will be your only one Oh yeah I make my living calling out my pain Trying to make it through another day Arms reach for me on the wind I can feel it They're a thousand miles away Yours eyes remind me of everything beautiful and blue and I won't feel myself till I'm with you So hold a candle till the darkness fades Nigh time sleeps but not for long My heart is pounding like the ocean my soul's empty as the sky But I know someday I'll be coming home Time goes by in the twinkling of an eye Still I pine for you I just wanna be your only one I just wanna be your only one Your only one

Otis Redding - Demonstration (DONALD 'DUCK' DUNN on bass)

With, DONALD 'DUCK' DUNN on bass Andrew Love and Joe Arnold on tenor saxes, Wayne Jackson on trumpet, Steve Cropper on guitar, Booker T Jones and Isaac Hayes on organ & piano, and Al Jackson Jr. on drums, this is a fantastic recording. Produced by Steve Cropper My favorite Otis album, I bought this piece when I was fourteen years old and at this time I didnt know who was this guys playing along with Otis, then I read some books and mags I found out this incredible band and musicians. As I am an aspiration to drummer, Al was one of the first and greatest influence and Donald was always there, precise with the bass pacing together with the drums, Untill today, no bass/drums team beats this guys (I said beats). Absolutely wonderful. To Donald.

Booker T. & The MG's - Time Is Tight (Live, 1970)

Cream Strange Brew Documentary

Greetings, ROCK AND ROLL IS DEAD. Lazy motherfuckers forming bands and they got nothing to say. Mediocrity strikes all around. Nobody shows any kind of respect to a guitar. Spoiled old brats becoming "rock" teachers and not even had listened to an well played E7 chord ever in their shitty life. I aint no judge to write this down, but watch out for it, rock and roll bands will never exist again, every attempt to form bands will be incompleted, something will be missed. Remember, meritocracy over autocracy. Money means nothing. No problem, it´s another time, another era, we have been quickly destroied by junkie empty mass insanity art and culture of our high technology days. Goodbye. Happy birthday Jack Bruce. Documentary about the the supergroup Cream
